On the morning of November 3,
we celebrated the birth of our daughter, Anna Grace.
She was born with a head full of dark hair,
a cute button nose and perfect lips on her face.
Due to a chromosome disorder,
her brain didn't develop as it should.
Neither did her heart,
but she held on as long as she could.
She was immediately baptized
surrounded by her family and blessed by our priest.
Then she was returned to her mom,
who was thrilled to hold her to say the least.
Anna lived for a mere 4 1/2 hours,
which seems a little unfair.
But during that time, she was surrounded
with her family's love and care.
We will be reunited with Anna one day,
but for now we have to be apart.
Our little angel, Anna Grace,
will always live in our hearts.
